The 06:45 class

Whoever comes at a quarter to seven usually has somewhere to be afterwards. We build the class so that works.

I work shifts myself, which is why I teach the early classes. People who come up the stairs at a quarter to seven usually have a jacket over their arm and a plan for afterwards: a shift, the office, kids to school.

So the class has firm edges. We start on time and finish on time; at 07:45 you are out of the door. No long arriving, no chat at the end that you have to sit through out of politeness.

The first ten minutes are slow. A body that was asleep half an hour ago does not need a challenge, it needs warmth. Then it starts to flow, and for the last five minutes everyone lies still.

There are showers, and towels too. If you are going straight to work, leave your bag on the shelf by the entrance. And if you oversleep: you can cancel up to two hours before, so for this class, the evening before.

I won't promise you'll be a different person afterwards. But your day starts with an hour that was yours.

Blau is a concept. The studio, the people and the texts are made up.
